The Obsidian started as an idea for a clean, layered vase with sharp curves and a matte finish. Simple enough in theory. In practice, the combination of matte PLA and the sharp transitions in this shape turned out to be a real challenge — matte filament can be tricky, and the printer didn't enjoy the geometry either.

It took a lot of trial and error, a lot of adjustments, and honestly quite a bit of swearing before it came out right. But when it did, it was exactly what I had in mind.

Available in three sizes — 200, 250 and 340 mm — either separately or as a set of three.
