Strata Duo | 3D Printed Design Vases

Designed and built from scratch — not a downloaded file, not a template. The Strata Duo is part of my first collection — one of the first designs I made when I started figuring out what I could do with a 3D printer.

The shape is based on a clean cylindrical form with a clear horizontal split between two tones — bone white at the base, a colour on top. The vertical ridges start where the colour starts. That contrast between smooth and textured, and between the two colors, is what makes it work.

This was one of those designs I made to figure out how to make it. The two-tone effect requires some planning in the print process — and it was satisfying to get it right.

This design is only available through SunkenOrangeDesign. It's designed on my own PC, printed on my own printers, and if something doesn't come out right, I adjust it until it does. You're not buying a mass-produced object — you're buying something that took actual time and effort to get right.

The Strata Duo comes as a set of two, which makes it easy to give — no need to think about what goes with it. The clean two-tone design works well in most interiors, which makes it a safe but distinctive choice for a housewarming or birthday.

Material & finish
Printed in PLA — a plant-based bioplastic. Each vase is printed layer by layer in the Netherlands. Subtle variations in surface or tone make every piece slightly unique.

Use
Not water-tight, so intended for dried, silk or LEGO® flowers. Or just empty.
