Vortex | 3D Printed Design Vase

Designed and built from scratch — not a downloaded file, not a template. The Vortex is part of my first collection — one of the first designs I made when I started figuring out what I could do with a 3D printer.

The shape is based on vertical ridges that spiral around the form, giving it a sense of movement even when standing still. One of those designs where I wanted to see if I could pull it off — and it worked.

This design is only available through SunkenOrangeDesign. It's designed on my own PC, printed on my own printers, and if something doesn't come out right, I adjust it until it does. You're not buying a mass-produced object — you're buying something that took actual time and effort to get right.

The Vortex comes in five silk colors that shift in tone depending on the light. That makes it easy to pick something that suits the person you're buying for — and it looks good without needing flowers or styling.

Material & finish
Printed in silk PLA — a plant-based bioplastic with a soft satin finish. The silk filament gives the colors a subtle sheen that changes as the light moves around it. Each vase is printed layer by layer in the Netherlands. Subtle variations in surface or tone make every piece slightly unique.

Use
Not water-tight, so intended for dried, silk or LEGO® flowers. Or just empty.

Available in 200 mm and 250 mm height. Slight variations may occur — that's part of the process.
